Top 10 at 10: These ASX small caps are climbing fast today

At the start of every trading day, it can be useful to know which stocks are humming out of the gate.

Often, the moves are part of the usual market ructions in small caps, but sometimes a big announcement can cause a stock to rocket higher (or fall).

Stockhead’s Top 10 at 10 highlights the best (and worst) performing ASX small caps in morning trade.

The market opens at 10am (eastern time) and the data is taken at 10:15am, once every stock has commenced trading.

Stocks highlighted in yellow have made potentially market-moving announcements:

Illiquid resources minnow Auking Mining (ASX: AKN) doubled up, while EVE Investments (ASX: EVE) rose strongly after providing a market update on its wholly-owned subsidiary Meluka Honey.

On the flipside, Arafura Resources (ASX: ARU) fell sharply after announcing a new capital raise.
