Top 10 at 10: Rare earths hits, a new lithium prospect and an acquisition wraps up

Petratherm (ASX:PTR) has defined a continuous thick blanket of high-grade rare earth mineralisation (> 1000 ppm TREO), starting from a very shallow depth at the Meteor prospect at the Comet Project Area of the Northern Gawler Craton of South Australia.

Notable intercepts include 38m at 967ppm TREO and 39ppm Sc2O3 from 3m including 12m @ 1,690ppm TREO and 38ppm Sc2O3 from 18m.

The shallow mineralisation means there’s potential for low-cost favourable free dig mining methods.

Octava Minerals (ASX:OCT) has found a new lithium prospect at Talga, named Nimerry, 3km to the east of the Pinnacle Well lithium prospect and ~10km northeast of the Archer Lithium Deposit (18Mt at 1.0% Li2O).

The pegmatites have been sampled with results expected by the end of February.

And Anova Metals (ASX:AWV) has wrapped up the acquisition of DC Mines, and now holds ownership of the rights to the Golden Dragon and Fields Find Projects in the Murchison region of Western Australia.
