Orexplore Technologies (ASX:OXT), a not-even $5m market-capped resources tech firm, is a bright light on a struggling bourse this morning, turning heads with a commercial agreement with none other than BHP. A huge moment for the mineral-scanning minnow industrials techie.

The $1.55m agreement centres around the field deployment of Orexplore’s mobile field-scanning installation and technology to BHP’s Carrapateena copper mine in South Australia.

Orexplore will deliver site-based drill-core and sample digitisation services for BHP.

• Healthcare stock Imugene (ASX:IMU) has been in capital-raising mode and has announced this morning it’s received firm commitments from “institutional and sophisticated investors” for a $35 million placement of 416.7m new fully paid ordinary shares in the company at a price of $0.084 per share.

The firm notes the placement is being followed by a share purchase plan, to raise $30 million, for existing eligible shareholders at $0.084 and a 2.5% discount to the five-day VWAP up to and including the closing date of the SPP.

Shine Justice (ASX:SHJ), a legal services and insurance recovery consulting business, is down today after announcing it will now reveal its full year financial results for the FY ended June 30 2023 on Tuesday August 29, rather than Wednesday 23 August as previously announced.

Investors really, really don’t like delays – of any kind.

Per the announcement this morning, there is also class-action settlement info (v Johnson & Johnson) to take into consideration for the FY results.

“As announced on 3 August 2023, the Federal Court of Australia delivered a judgment in relation to the class actions brought by Shine Lawyers against Johnson & Johnson Medical Pty Limited, Ethicon Sàrl and Ethicon, Inc.

“The Class Actions were settled for $300 million, subject to approval of the Court which was granted on 16 March 2023, subject to the separate and later determination of orders with respect to the distribution of the Settlement Fund.”
