Alliance Nickel’s (ASX:AXN) NiWest nickel-cobalt project is granted Major Project Status (MSP) by the Australian Government, which helps streamline approvals for mine development.

MSP is awarded to Australian companies and projects identified to be strategically significant, “and that have the potential to contribute considerably to the nation’s economic growth and employment opportunities”.

Gold hunter First Au’s (ASX:FAU) new exploration lease EL008058 in Victoria includes the historical King Cassilis mine which, according to records, produced over 3,000 ounces of gold at a grade of 14.4g/t.

And exploration minnow Marquee Resources (ASX:MQR) drills into a highlight 14m @ 980ppm rare earths from surface at the Redlings project.
