European Lithium (ASX:EUR) has inked a preliminary non binding deal to supply car maker BMW up to 100% of production from EUR’s Wolfsberg project.

This could be EUR first offtake, and a big one at that.

“In the event both parties agree to a binding contract, BMW AG will make an upfront payment of US$15 million, which will be repaid through equal set offs against LiOH delivered to BMW AG,” the company says.

“Proceeds from the prepayment will be used for the development of the Wolfsberg Project including supporting the commencement of the construction phase and further progress towards the successful implementation of the Wolfsberg Project.”
