Top 10 at 10: A couple of ‘stunning’ copper discoveries have these ASX stocks flying in early trade

“Major copper discovery at Storm!” says American West Metals (ASX:AW1) which is up 40% in early trade.
AW1 says an exploration drillhole at the Canadian project hit over 68m of copper sulphide mineralisation from 277m downhole.
The discovery is associated with a large electromagnetic (EM) plate, with six other similar large EM plates yet to be tested. Very promising.
Meanwhile, porphyry hunter Magmatic Resources (ASX:MAG) has pulled up 740m of visible copper sulphides in a single hole at the Corvette prospect, part of the Myall project in NSW.
MAG managing director Dr Adam McKinnon is stoked.
“This is an absolutely stunning result for the first full hole of our drilling program at Myall,” he says.
“It’s difficult to describe the excitement of our team each time we look over the previous day’s core and see an ever-increasing interval of visible sulphide mineralisation.
“We are so far past our original target now that we are effectively exploring a brand-new search space to the east of the original Corvette Prospect – currently untested in every direction – and still going.”
