ASX Small Cap Winners Jun 29-Jul 6

Lithium developer Anson Resources (ASX:ASN) more than doubled this week after telling investors it had received “further encouraging results” while fast-tracking Paradox project in Utah.

Anson bos Bruce Richardson said the latest lithium processing results were “unexpected” are “very encouraging” and should result in improved productivity.

Tests are onging and a final lithium grading is due in mid-August.

The shares gained 104 per cent this week to 11c.

Former aquaculture player Cervantes (ASX:CVS) gained 77 per cent for the week to 1.6c after confirming on Thursday that its purchase of the Paynes Find gold project from European Lithium (ASX:EUR) had been finalised.

Last month the former aquaculture player Cervantes literally struck gold in Western Australia – and high-grade gold at that – sending its shares through the roof.

Sports prediction app SportsHero (ASX:SHO) this week pleased investors after securing its first customer receipts since listing almost 18 months ago — generating $50,000 from the launch of a World Cup themed campaign in Indonesia.

The startup, which gives fans an alternative to traditional betting by letting them predict the outcome of competitions and earn rewards for doing so correctly, listed on the ASX in February 2017 after raising $3.2 million at 5c each.

The stock moved ahead 60 per cent this week to 12.5c.

Internet of Things play CCP Technologies (ASX:CT1) jumped 60 per cent to 1.6c for the week after signing a deal with telco Vodafone.

The telco will use CCP’s solutions across its “narrowband internet of things” technology which helps devices in hard-to-reach places — such industrial cool rooms located in basements — communicate along a supply chain.

Cleantech Greenpower Energy (ASX:GPP) jumped 40 per cent to 0.7c after  moving further into the battery metals space with a cobalt and vanadium acquisition.

Greenpower — which is also developing a process to turn coal into a fertiliser liquid — struck a $5 million deal to buy Ion Minerals – an Australian cobalt and vanadium explorer.

Greenpower also this week rejected a rebel shareholder group’s call for a board spill meeting.

ASX Small Cap Losers Jun 29-Jul 6

RMA Global — which operates the Rate My Agent real estate agent comparison site — made a lukewarm ASX debut this week.

RMA (ASX:RMY) raised $12 million selling 48 million shares at 25c each.

The stock opened its first day of trade at 24c and fell as low as 19c before closing the week at 20.5c — an 18 per cent drop on its issue price.

Oven rental service Silverchef (ASX:SIV) lost 18 per cent this week after downgrading guidance for FY18.

“Following lower than expected growth in the final quarter within the hospitality segment, underlying pre-tax profit is now expected to be within the $17 million to $18 million range compared to previous guidance of $20 million to $24 million,” the group told investors.

Silverchef blamed revenue shortfalls from rental contracts.

The stock finished the week at $3.11, compared to $3.78 a week earlier.
