The day ahead in data
It’s a quiet one locally, but there’s a monthly data dump out of China with the release of May figures for industrial product, fixed asset investment and retail sales.
Elsewhere, the US has May retail sales and industrial production along with the University of Michigan consumer sentiment survey.

There were some differing opinions on the Stockhead group chat, in response to Angie East’s post on base metals covering Mincor’s (ASX: MCR) gold find.
“Pretty narrow hits and the depth is huge (416m) …. flog it off!“, group member Eric Frei said.
But David Evans was more positive. “MCR right on the edge of moving back into accumulation imo. maybe need a BGU with volume,” he said.

Yesterday’s winners
While it wasn’t the fastest out of the blocks, lithium explorer Marquee Resources (ASX:MQR) won the day with a gain of 107.14 per cent to close at 9 cents.
MQR told the market it will acquire Lithium Power International, which holds seven leases in the Centenario Salar region of Northern Argentina forming part of the Lithium Triangle. As part of the deal, MQR also said it had received firm commitments to raise at least $500,000 at 10 cents per share.
Also doubling up was AustChina Holdings (ASX: AUH), which rose 100 per cent to four cents on no news.
