“It is a busy day today with ANZ and Roy Morgan jointly releasing the weekly consumer confidence index,” CommSec says.

“The Reserve Bank is also set to release minutes of the October 5 board meeting where details around the Financial Stability Review as well as the decision by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) to tighten home lending criteria were discussed.

The Commonwealth Bank is also set to release its Household Spending Intentions report for the month of September, alongside weekly credit and debit card spending data.
