Rise and Shine: What you need to know before the ASX opens

The day ahead

Australia will get data on capital expenditure in the June quarter, which will include the forward-looking estimate of what companies expect to spend in the 2021 financial year.

However, the big event on global markets will take place later tonight, when US Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell gives a highly anticipated speech on the central bank’s policy framework in a post-COVID world.

The following companies are in trading halts and are expected to exit in the next two trading days:
