Hump Day.
Ugh.
But it’s not all bad news. Coming up on Stockhead today, it feels like Rio’s about to confirm its big Winu find, RIU kicks off in WA, and we have a good laugh look at Millennials and their investing habits.
Angela East also got German small cap expert Stefan Müller to tell us why the battery metals boom is actually just beginning.
But here’s what you need to know right now:
Big day for data today: big four bank Westpac is releasing its month-on-month leading index figures, which you’ll be able to find here.
And everybody’s favourite statisticians, the Australian Bureau of Statistics, will be releasing year-on-year and quarterly wage price figures. Who knows? Maybe they changed materially for the first time since Something BC.
There’s a wealth of companies due to come out of trading halts today, four of them for capital raises, and three of them globals — Nexus Minerals (ASX:NXM), Pearl Global (ASX:PG1), R3D Global (ASX:R3D) and Sky and Space Global (ASX:SAS).
Titan Minerals (ASX:TTM) and GetSwift (ASX:GSW) are due to update the market on acquisitions, but for REVA Medical (ASX:RVA) it sounds a little more dire — “immediate financial needs and the company’s outstanding indebtedness and capital structure moving forward”.
Automotive leasing company SG Fleet (ASX:SGF) has 241,450 of its shares being released from escrow today.

That’s the second day in a row Bingo Industries (ASX:BIN) has been up there, following on from its profit downgrade.
A2 Milk (ASX:A2M) is currently the biggest company in the dairy formula sector, one which has been undergoing some change recently.
Leigh Creek Energy (ASX:LCK) was yesterday’s biggest winner, up 91 per cent at the close to 17c on news it can now produce commercial quantities of synthetic gas.
Leigh Creek said it has now confirmed it can produce syngas of “sufficient quality and quantity” to support a commercial project.
The company has been testing a pilot plant which converts underground coal into gas, which it plans to turn into products like fertiliser. It had first gas from the plant in October.
Meanwhile the ride continued at trail-blazing lithium chemical company Lepidico (ASX:LPD) after announcing exclusive rights over a new tech to make lithium hydroxide – which attracts a premium price from battery makers.
The company rose another 41 per cent today to hit 3c.
The table with ID 1052 not exists.
Revenue-making lens maker Visioneering Technologies (ASX:VTI) fell 22 per cent to 11c after the company revealed its full-year loss had fallen 2 per cent to $23.5 million. A little less of a peachy story than last month’s quarterly financial figures.
That was despite revenue more than tripling to $4.6 million.

No matter how bad Hump Day is, at least you’re not using singing bowls and tuning forks to imbue kombucha with sound at every stage of fermentation.
That’s all you need to know. Now get up, get up, get busy, do it.
