It’s a quiet week for economic data. On Wednesday keep your eye out for construction work done in the September quarter. On Thursday, quarterly private capital expenditure and on Friday private sector credit for October.
Friday will be ‘Black Friday’ (the Friday after thanksgiving), where retailers offer substantial discounts both in store and online. However some firms are offering deals already.
Consumer spending has been weak this year and economists are expecting a boost in spending but not substantial enough to reverse 2019’s trend.
Companies holding AGMs today including wave energy play Carnegie Clean Energy (ASX:CCE), retail pawnbroker Cash Converters (ASX:CCV) and uranium explorer Deep Yellow (ASX:DYL).
