On Stockhead today…

Over on the Best Coast (hard to arguw in T20 terms), Reuben Adams has January’s 5 best resources performers. And they’re a hot bunch.

Nadine McGrath has been poking through the receipts to see which ASX stocks have been caught short.

And Eddy Sunarto unpacks the next iteration of Fintech.

Over the weekend US President Joe Biden asked his guys to shoot down a Chinese balloon. Bit of a worry and certainly more blowback to come on the markets side this week.

But first, the day ahead…

Spacetalk (ASX:SPA), which does tend to launch every now and again, has hit the upper atmosphere, up 98.89% – so we can call it 100% on news Simon Crowther ascended to the role of CEO and managing director, as interim boss Saurabh Jain moves onto the board.

SAP says Crowther’s track record at Nearmap (ASX:NMP) sealed the deal.

Lincoln Minerals (ASX:LML), is rising again after the board wrote to shareholders with an update on Quantum Graphite’s (ASX:QGL) all-scrip takeover bid.

“The Offer Price under QGL’s takeover bid remains unchanged, being 40 QGL shares for every 1 LML share,” LML said.

“As at close of trading on 30 January, the implied value of LML shares under the Offer was $0.013 per share which remains well below LML’s closing price of $0.06 per share (based on the closing prices of Lincoln and QGL shares on ASX as at 30 January 2023).”

That 30 January $0.06 per share is an impressive 750% increase since Lincoln’s reinstatement onto the ASX ten days earlier.
