Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: Who’s wondering where their java kick is coming from today?

The markets are going strong today. The ASX Small Ords is up 0.5 per cent to 2,894 points while the ASX 200 is up 0.82 per cent to 6,736 points.
While Australia’s headline unemployment rate rose by 0.1 per cent to 5.3 per cent, other indicators in this morning’s ABS release were more positive.
This included increased people in employment and levels in individual states – particularly in the 12-month trends.
Shares are bound to go on the run when a successful tech entrepreneur buys nearly 20 per cent of a company. WiseTech’s Richard White did just that with Kyckr (ASX:KYK) and shares shot up 57 per cent this morning.
Global Vanadium (ASX:GLV) has been wanting to enter oil and gas. Today its up 25 per cent after telling shareholders it is undertaking due diligence on a project.
First AU (ASX:FAU) has begun a drilling program at its Gimlet gold project and it gained 23 per cent this morning
