Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: Who’s warming everyone’s hearts today?

Everyone’s hearts were set a flutter last week as Hollywood heartthrob Keanu Reeves attended an awards ceremony with his new girlfriend — artist Alexandra Grant.

The internet has been swelling with pro-Keanu Reeves memes of late.

Swelling today are local markets — the ASX 200 is up 0.42 per cent and the ASX small ords is up 0.35 per cent.

Going up

Leading the charge today was Papyrus (ASX:PPY), which makes waste trunks of banana palms into an alternative for wood-based paper products.

Shares raced up 50 per cent on news it had gained a new strategic investor this morning.

Sydney-based hemp producer Union Pacific Equities has bought 20 per cent of the company for 1c per share.

On the move also was electric two-wheeler manufacturer Vmoto (ASX:VMT), which was up 19 per cent at lunch.
