Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: Who’s showing their wild side today?

Love or hate politicians, it’s nice to see them just as normal people. India’s Narendra Modi is no David Attenborough but he sure is trying.
Modi has gone on the Discovery Channel’s Man vs Wild and the trailer shows him hiking and kayaking in Indian forests.
He clearly wants to be seen as a strongman – one scene shows him holding an improvised spear. It will air in India next month. Here’s the trailer.

But of course we all know politicians can say one thing and do another. India is third last of 180 countries in 2018’s Environmental Performance Index.
As you may have heard this morning the ASX 200 reached its all time high, climbing 0.39 per cent to 6,853. The ASX Small Ords still has a fair way to recover from its pre-GFC high but it is up too today, by 0.13 per cent to 2,990.
Today’s rise came despite building approvals dropping 1.2 per cent in June. However, the big talking point today is the IPO of buy now pay later stock Sezzle (ASX: SZL) which debuted at 12pm. Market orders suggested the stock would surge on debut, and it did, hitting the boards at $2.50 from a listing price of $1.22. Ord Minnett is the lead broker for Sezzle.
Going up
Weststar Industrial (ASX: WSI) was up 69 per cent as at 12pm after a positive quarterly. Redbubble (ASX: RBL) similarly surged – by 28 per cent after a record quarterly.
Amongst the miners, Saturn Metals (ASX: STN) gained 23 per cent after positive gold drilling results.
