Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: Who’s showing some pride today?

It was a more buoyant mood on the ASX this morning, as markets partially recovered from yesterday’s coronavirus-induced selloff.
But before we breakdown the details, there were some newsworthy developments in the rugby world overnight.
Reports emerged that after breaking ties with Rugby Australia, controversial star Israel Folau has signed a one-year deal with French side Catalans Dragons.
It marks a code-switch for Folau, who left rugby union after he was sacked by the sport’s governing body for repeatedly making homophobic statements on social media.
Very soon after news of Folau’s signing broke, UK side Wigan announced that its game against Catalans on March 22 will now be Pride Day.
In a clear show of support to the LGBTQ community, Wigan said its players will wear rainbow socks on the day, and be kitted out with rainbow-coloured laces.
To stocks, and the big end of town found a bit of momentum this morning as the ASX200 climbed 0.38 per cent to 7,021. The ASX Small Ords index was up 0.65 per cent to 3,014.
