Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: Who's showing off space-wear today?

Richard’s promised not to wear it again until he is in space which would please both those who’ve been waiting this long for Virgin Galactic to launch flights; and those who aren’t a fan of the attire.

The first flight will take off in 2020 and each one will contain 6 passengers and 2 crew. But it won’t come cheap.

Today markets are mixed. The ASX Small Ords is up 0.04 per cent to 2,893 but ASX 200 down 0.27 per cent to 6,719.

Monthly jobs data came out today, with seasonally adjusted unemployment falling slightly from 5.3 per cent to 5.2 per cent in September but the trend unemployment rate remained unchanged.

Going up

Northern Cobalt (ASX:N27) led today’s gainers, up 133 per cent. The catalyst was an earn-in agreement with a gold project in Alaska, that is surrounding Northern Star’s (ASX:NST) gold-rich Pogo mine.

Mach7 Technologies (ASX:M7T) is up 16 per cent off the back of a quarterly it claimed to be the strongest cash flow result in its history.
