Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: Who’s riding into the Danger Zone today?

34 years after the first Top Gun film came out, there will be a sequel to be released next year. Overnight we saw the first trailer.
Tom Cruise, who will be returning as Peter “Maverick” Mitchell, revealed it at a surprise appearance at Comic Con yesterday.
From the trailer, it seems Mitchell is still a pilot but has not risen up the ranks – yet won’t retire. Cruse told attendees: “I really wanted to give you all an experience of what it is to be inside that aircraft…It’s a love letter to aviation.”
It’s everything you’d expect from a Top Gun sequel, with one notable exception – this guy:

If you can’t wait until next year to get to the cinemas there are plenty of things to see this weekend. The line up includes Spider-Man: Far From Home, the Lion King, Apollo 11 and Toy Story 4.
It’s a Happy Friday for Australian markets today. The ASX Small Ords is up 0.84 per cent today to 2,922 while the ASX 200 is up 0.73 per cent to 6,697.

Going up
Medibio (ASX: MEB) has become the 25th ASX stock to more than double in a day in 2019. It’s up 133 per cent after enhancing its relationship with Compass Group, signing another pilot in its Offshore and Remote division.
Cannabis play Bod Australia (ASX: BDA) is up 29 per cent after announcing a strategic investment.
Aruma Resources (ASX: AAJ) is up 33 per cent after receiving drilling approvals.
