Here are the key ASX small cap winners and losers at lunch Friday November 16:
The ASX Small Ords was up 8.9 points or 0.3 per cent to 2,601.8 at 12.15pm AEDT.
It was slim pickings this morning for ASX small cap newsflow.
Cycliq (ASX:CYQ) was one of the winners, rising 14 per cent to 0.8c after updating investors on its capital raise.
Cycliq is considering a $2 million loan facility and is revising a proposed $2 million share placement announced on November 13 down to $1.1m to reduce dilution to existing shareholders.
Jatenergy (ASX:JAT) shares have risen 23 per cent in the past two days to today’s intraday high of 8.1c after appointing a new managing director Wilton Yao.
“In making this appointment, the Board recognises the leadership skills and strategic capacity that Mr Yao has displayed over the past three years as he drove JAT’s transformation from coal production and related technologies to fast moving consumer goods exports and cross-border sales,” the company said.
Cyber security company WhiteHawk (ASX:WHK) was one of the bigger movers, rising 17 per cent to an intraday high of 8.4c, after announcing a partnership with Clarke & Sampson Insurance.
Clarke & Sampson is an independent US insurance agency that specialises in cyber liability insurance.
“Our goal is to help WhiteHawk customers understand, and implement cyber liability coverage into their foundational cybersecurity programs,” it said.
Shares in Stavely Minerals (ASX:SVY) rose 14 per cent to an intraday high of 28.5c after it released an update about its Thursday’s Gossan copper and gold project in Western Victoria.
It said the prospect appears to have been subject to at least two major phases of porphyry intrusion.
“The earlier ‘Victor’ porphyries represent a large, low-grade copperonly system. The second phase of porphyry intrusion / alteration and mineralisation appears to be a potentially smaller, copper-gold mineralised porphyry system located at the northern end of the earlier system,” it said.
