Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: Who’s jokes are coming back to bite them today?

As we age we regret things we did when we were younger. Tattoos, inappropriate photos of ourselves – or inappropriate names, as this Brit discovered.
Kenny Kennard changed his surname to Fu-Kennard as a joke several years ago. He had no problem getting a driver’s licence, but he cannot get a passport on the grounds his name could cause offence or was vulgar.
“On the one hand, I find the whole thing funny — as do all of my friends,” he said. “But I’m also finding it hard to believe the name could be construed as anything but funny and slightly ridiculous.
“It’s just a joke. Fu-Kennard is not offensive, and I object to them denying my chosen name.”
As always, supporters are telling anyone who cares to “sign the petition”. In isolation it’s easy to say he should’ve thought it through – but then again the Poms were OK with the name Boaty McBoatface.
