2 Nemstas Lane is no ordinary house. The former World War Two bunker was used by the RAAF to store fuel., but now the property in north west Victoria is up for sale.
An auction will be held on November 16 with a price guide of $260-$280,000. Despite its shabby appearance on the outside, the inside with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms looks a world away:
Who would want a place like this? The selling agent Tony Graham said it was good for those seeking “peace and quiet”, or a “blank canvas”. Or a place to hide in comfort from the pending apocalypse.
Markets are mixed today. The ASX Small Ords is down 0.23 per cent to 2859 but the ASX 200 up 0.05 per cent to 6646.
ANZ-Roy Morgan Weekly consumer confidence fell another 1.2 per cent this week. ANZ Head of Australian Economics David Plank said households were negative about the economic outlook but were confident about their personal outlook and employment data — due Thursday — could be important in this regard.
Rare earths explorer Sagon Resources (ASX:SG1) gained 31 per cent this morning after releasing a maiden mineral resource estimate at its newly acquired Cummins Range project.
ICSGlobal (ASX:ICS) gained 20 per cent with earnings guidance of $1.2-$1.4 million; this is 20-40 per cent better than what it had previously announced.

Legacy Iron Ore (ASX:LCY) was the biggest declining stock today, falling 40 per cent after a negative exploration update.
Southern Cross Media Group (ASX:SXL) dropped 19 per cent with an earnings downgrade. The company said it’s focused on reigning in costs as advertising markets remain “short and volatile”.
