A police therapy dog in the US was caught red-handed pilfering toys due to be shipped to a local charity.
The mystery of the missing toys was solved when Franklin Police Department officers intercepted golden retriever Ben Franklin (haha) carrying a baby doll in its carrier back to his stash.
A riveting low speed chase ensued.
The markets are settling down, with the peaceful Christmas/New Year period now officially upon us.
This morning, the ASX200 fell by 0.26 per cent to 6,799 points. The Small Ords followed suit, down 0.26 per cent to 2,904 points.
Gibb River Diamonds (ASX:GIB) has acquired the mothballed Ellendale diamond mine in the West Kimberley region of WA, sending the stock on a ~120 per cent run in morning trade.
The Ellendale project has already produced 1.3 million carats, including over 50 per cent of global annual production of ‘fancy yellow’ diamonds.
The mine closed in 2015 when former owner Kimberly Diamond Company went into administration.
And Key Petroleum (ASX:KEY) has emerged as the latest junior to target the Perth Basin, executing a land access agreement that paves the way for exploration drilling in the western and southern parts of its Bookara Shelf project, immediately to the north of the producing Waitsia gas field.
Investors liked the news, sending the stock up 20 per cent in morning trade.

As did Traffic Technologies (ASX:TTI), which says trading revenue for the half-year to December 31 will be ~10 per cent lower than the same period last year due to “slow trading conditions”.
