Former selfie drone seller IOT Group (ASX:IOT) has signed up its second Initial Coin Offering advisory client this week, bumping its shares up 50 per cent to 0.3c.
An Initial Coin Offering or ICO is like an initial public offering — but instead of offering shares, an issuer offers digital tokens that can be traded on cryptocurrency platforms or swapped for services.
IOT started hiring blockchain gurus in March and in April announced a coal-fired blockchain energy plant.
On Monday IOT announced it had signed up its first ICO advisory client — for which it would be paid $5 million in cryptocurrency.
Today IOT announced it was helping a second business, EML, launch an Initial Coin Offering. For the services, IOT will again be paid in crypto — this time with a “certificate” that entitles it to $US 1 million worth of EML tokens plus a monthly fee of 10 bitcoins.
Gold explorer Classic Minerals (ASX:CLZ) put on 20 per cent to 0.6c after detailing assays (or lab test) results from recent drilling program at its Forrestania project in Western Australia.
Classic drilled 22 holes for 1990m at two sites called Kat Gap and Lady Magdalene. The results showed “the discovery of a significant new zone of gold mineralisation” at Kat Gap.
“Drilling at Lady Magdalene yielded impressive results further confirming the existence of a number of high-grade, cross-cutting gold lodes previously missed due to the wide spaced drilling.”
Fellow microcap gold miner Austar Gold (ASX:AUL) lifted 40 per cent to an intraday high of 0.7c after reporting “visible gold” in its recent drill program. The results included short sections rated at 46 g/t, 34 g/t and 102g/t.
Anything above 5g/t is considered high-grade.
“Visible gold in the second drill hole continues the excellent progress made in this current drill program, provides further support for our revised geological model of this target zone and the potential to develop an economically viable structure amenable for mining and processing through our gravity gold plant,” said chief Tom de Vries.
Six Sigma (ASX:SI6) moved ahead 18 per cent to 1.3c today after yesterday’s announcement that its Zimbabwe project had delivered wide lithium pegmatite intersections in every hole of an initial five-hole program.
Six Sigma has been drilling a high priority prospect called Bonnyvale to test if lithium continued at depth as part its due diligence assessment.
Cobalt explorer Centaurus Metals (ASX:CTM) gained 14 per cent to 0.8c after yesterday’s drilling results in northern Brazil showing high‐grade mineralisation.
One target showed a band of minerals 30m thick extending for 3.5km with section widths of up to 650m. Nickel grade included intervals at 0.9 per cent and cobalt zones of 0.12 per cent.
