Here are the key ASX small cap winners and losers at lunch Friday October 12:
After yesterday’s carnage, the ASX Small Ords was up 4.2 points or 0.16 per cent to 2,686.4 at 12.30pm AEST.
GOING UP
Volpara Health (ASX:VHT) was on the rise this morning, up 11 per cent to $1.17 after it unveiled the first public screening sector purchase of its VolparaEnterprise software.
The software delivers key performance indicators for over 100 performance and quality metrics, including patient positioning and compression, which are widely viewed as the causes of most clinical image deficiencies, and associated with delayed detection of breast cancer.
Manas Resources (ASX:MSR) rose 25 per cent to an intraday high of 0.5c after releasing its full-year accounts.
It was good news with the company’s bottom line improving significantly from a $1.2 million loss in 2017 to a $16,079 profit in the 2018 financial year.
The rise on no news continued for Eden Innovations (ASX:EDE), with the company up 27 per cent to an intraday high of 10.5c before lunch.
The high-tech concrete maker soared 65 per cent to 7.1c last week — attracting a speeding ticket from the ASX.
But Eden said there was nothing going on other than a couple of deals it announced last month.
The most traded company on Friday by lunchtime was Asia Pacific Data Centre (ASX:AJD). It rose just 1 per cent, to an intraday high of $2.01, but saw $156 million worth of shares changing hands.
That was due to NEXTDC upgrading its holding in Asia Pacific to 97 per cent — NEXTDC will compulsorily acquire AJD in full by the end of the month.

GOING DOWN
Leigh Creek Energy (ASX:LCK) dropped 9 per cent to an intraday low of 21.5c on its second day back on the ASX after a week in voluntary suspension.
It released a long-awaited announcement yesterday that it had successfully initiated the gasifier with the production of first syngas occurring on the 10th of October.
The announcement was due out October 3.
