Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: Who beat England to the Ashes?

Australia has done it: they’ve retained the Ashes, by defeating England in the 4th Test at Old Trafford.

Australia won the Ashes last time out in Australia in 2017-18, however, it is the first time Australia has beaten England in England since 2001: series losses followed in 2005, 2009, 2013 and 2015.

 

The ASX 200 is also celebrating, just, up 0.02 per cent at lunch to 6,649 points, while the ASX Small Ords has lost ground, down 0.03 per cent to 2,886 points.

Going up

Envirosuite (ASX:EVS) continues to move on the back of news released on Friday that it had entered the Chinese market.

Shares rose 62 per cent today to 21c.

Meanwhile it was a good morning for tech companies, with iSignthis (ASX:ISX), Vault Intelligence (ASX:VLT) and Linius Technologies (ASX:LNU) all getting a boost.
