No, its not photoshopped. This ratfish was caught in deep water in northern Norway.
It’s no blue whale, but its got enormous eyes to help it see in the darkness below. It may look scary but it is completely harmless — it feeds mainly on crabs and sea snails.
Ironically, this fisherman was looking for a rare fish anyway — a blue halibut — but got something different to what he hoped for. It took 30 minutes to reel it in then he took it home and panfried it. His verdict? “A bit like cod but tastier”.

The ASX Small Ords is flat today only gaining 0.05 per cent to 2,876 points, while the ASX 200 dipped 0.1 per cent to 6,663 points.
Oil prices (both Brent and WTI) have jumped over 10 per cent after Iran’s attack on Saudi Arabia. Small caps haven’t moved much on the news, though investors will likely be watching the situation closely.
Confectionary company Candy Club (ASX:CLB) gained 42 per cent this morning. Major investor James Baillieu agreed to become chairman and buy more stock in the company.
Liquefied Natural Gas (ASX:LNG) surged 27 per cent after striking a deal to supply LNG to Vietnam.
But the big talking point on the market this morning, other than oil, was infant formula maker Bellamy’s (ASX:BAL) receiving a takeover. The market’s verdict? It gained 55 per cent
