Today, the ASX finished slightly in the green, tech stocks were up over 2 per cent, and another IPO gained over 100 per cent.

The ASX 200 rose 0.04 per cent, closing at 6,977 points. Meanwhile, the ASX Emerging Companies Index rose 0.36 per cent to 2,077 points.

Tech stocks gained 2 per cent while consumer and financials saw modest gains too. Utilities stocks lost 1.45 per cent while materials lost 0.67 per cent and energy lost 0.72 per cant.

Today’s IPO was biotech Island Pharmaceuticals (ASX:ILA) which, like Delorean (ASX:DEL) yesterday, gained over 100 per cent on debut.

The top stock was oil and gas microcap Lion Energy (ASX:LIO) which gained over 130 per cent after announcing a tripling of its oil reserves.



Telehealth stock Jayex (ASX:JHL) divested its hospital queue management business for $2.4m. The company says the money will go towards its NZ cannabis subsidiary which  yesterday was granted a medical marijuana cultivation license from the New Zealand government.

The suspension of Olivers’ Real Foods (ASX:OLI) doesn’t appear to be ending any time soon. Despite an overhaul at the executive level the ASX is now investigating a directors trade from last year and has indicated the suspension will continue while this investigation continues.

Aussie Broadband (ASX:ABB) announced it had signed up the first customer for its white label solution – without naming the client. It also announced it had signed on another 30,424 broadband customers in the past quarter.

Resources high flyer Liontown (ASX:LTR) unveiled drilling results from its Moora gold project of up to 21.2g/t. It has only been drilling for 4 months at Moora – which lies just 90km away from Chalice’s (ASX:CHN) Julimar discovery.

Wattle Health (ASX:WHA) isn’t dead – yet. It entered into a binding Asset Sales Agreement to acquire Brand Solutions Australia which distributes health and wellness products. It will pay $2.75m and change its name to Wellnex Life.
