Closing Bell: Today’s biggest small cap movers on the ASX

A quick wrap of the ASX’s key winners and losers on Tuesday, September 15.

Stocks highlighted in yellow made potentially market-moving announcements during the day.

WINNERS

#1 spot goes to minnow Jupiter Energy (ASX:JPR), which (in)famously rocketed from 0.5c to highs of 34.5c on April 22 – 23 for no reason. That’s also about the time oil prices were hitting crazy lows.

Include today’s ~500 per cent gain and Jupiter’s chart starts to look like a heart rate monitor:

Redbank Copper (ASX:RCP) resumed trading on the ASX this morning for the first time in over 12 months … and immediately shot up almost +250 per cent.

Rhinomed (ASX:RNO) is developing a new “less invasive” nasal swab to test for influenza and coronavirus.

Mobile games company iCandy (ASX:ICI) raised $1.25m in a “strongly supported” placement which received more than $5 million in bids.

Similarly, Colombian gold explorer Los Cerros (ASX:LCL) raised ~$10m in a private placement which “received firm bids for more than four times the target”.
