Closing Bell: Today’s biggest small cap movers on the ASX

A quick wrap of the ASX’s key winners and losers on Friday, July 10.

Today 510 stocks rose, 793 declined and 802 were unchanged.

WINNERS

$1m market cap recruitment firm Ignite (ASX:IGN) led the winners, +45 per cent on no news.

In response to a subsequent price query from the ASX, Ignite says it didn’t have any extra info which would explain the abnormal trading although “it is noted that IGN is due to lodge its quarterly Appendix 4C and Quarterly Activity Statement by the end of July”.

A division of Freelancer (ASX:FLN), online payment provider Escrow.com, has jagged a new partnership with eBay Motors.

Freelancer says it is unable to forecast the revenue impact because “this partnership represents an optional new offering to eBay users, which will be changing consumer behaviour and will be coupled with an education campaign”.

The stock was +38 per cent for the day.
