On a rough day for the broader markets, gold explorer Norwest Minerals (ASX:NWM) held its gains to close 50 per cent higher after unearthing some high-grade mineralisation further underground at its historical Bulgera open-pit project in WA.
APN Property Group (ASX:APD) ripped higher on a takeover offer, while NSW-based oil & gas play Icon Energy (ASX:ICN) jumped sharply on no news, before telling the ASX it wasn’t aware of any developments that would prompt such a move.
