Rumble Resources (ASX:RTR) jumped out of the gates and closed highest among small caps with an intra-day gain of 94 per cent.

The near double-up in RTR shares followed news of a major zinc-lead discovery at the Earaheedy project in WA, in which Rumble holds 75pc as part of a joint venture with Zenith Minerals (ASX:ZNC).

Zenith closed 46pc higher, after the two companies completed a perfect score — 26 of 26 drill holes with visual zinc-lead mineralisation. Reuben Adams has more here.

Province Resources (ASX:PRL), which is up by around 1,800pc so far this year, was also among a spate of resources winners with market-moving announcements after signing an MOU with French power producer Total Eren to build an 8GW green hydrogen project in WA.
