Closing Bell: Today’s biggest small cap movers on the ASX

WINNERS

Another day, another spectacular ASX debut. WA gold-nickel-copper explorer Mamba (ASX:M24) gained 50 per cent from 20 cents to 30 cents.

The company has several projects in WA’s Darling Range with its most notable lying near the Julimar nickel discovery.

Today’s biggest winner was base metals explorer Anax Metals (ASX:ANX). It finished the day up 66 per cent after reporting “outstanding” drill results at its copper-zinc project in the West Pilbara.

Actinogen Medical (ASX:ACW) has soared 28.6 per cent to 2.7c after the US Food and Drug Administration granted the company a rare pediatric disease designation for the treatment of Fragile X syndrome.

Telco Vonex (ASX:VN8) surged after signing a deal to provide business-grade mobile broadband services to Orange Business Services throughout Australia.

LOSERS

Small cap oil plays and joint venture partners BPH Energy (ASX:BPH) and Bounty Oil & Gas (ASX:BUY) declined off the back of a drilling update.

Swick Mining Services (ASX:SWK) fell after telling shareholders it had deferred a planned demerger of its mineral technology business Orexplore.
