Gateway Mining (ASX:GML) jumped sharply on high volumes after the announcement of a new high-grade gold discovery at its Gidgee project in WA.

Software company Reffind (ASX:RFN) also ticked higher after providing an update on its bidding process for the assets of Loyyal Corporation as part of a Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the US.

Reffind said it was not the preferred bidder, but is now in negotiations with the winning bidder to acquire a 25 per cent stake in the new vehicle that will own the Loyyal assets.
