ASX Small Cap Lunch Wrap: Who’s joining a cartel today?
News
News
No, not the Medellín kind. An actual car…tel (we think).
Today’s random news item comes via some entrepreneurial Aussies who are looking to take ride-sharing to a whole new level.
The launch of their Cartel Motors outfit aims to give car enthusiasts access to top-shelf vehicles by going the partnership route with up to three other people.
Based on the company’s website, if prospective customers don’t have a spare $390,000 to buy a Lamborghini Huracan LP610, they can still get access to it by forking out around $3,500 per month.
If you like the look of the Lambo it will cost $99 as a starting point to register your interest.
While crypto has cooled off and Bitcoin is consolidating just below US$40,000, probably the fastest way to buying a Lambo outright is through resources stocks as another round of small cap mining plays populated this morning’s winners list.
More broadly the ASX200 is up again, although the microcap Emerging Companies Index is lagging the pack with a morning decline of 0.2%.

Energy minnow Environmental Clean Technologies (ASX:ECT), which has traded between 0.1c and 0.2c for the past year, ticked higher after announcing a five-year coal supply agreement with EnergyAustralia.
The deal will give ECT access to up to 50,000 tonnes of lignite (brown coal), from which it aims to deliver a small-scale commercial demonstration of its zero-emission lignite drying process.
Topping the pack in the mining space was Dateline Resources (ASX:DTR), which went digging at the historic, abandoned ‘Colosseum’ gold mine in California and found strong evidence of more gold further underground.
And BNPL returned to the winner’s list as Sezzle (ASX:SZL) jumped by around 20pc after announcing it has signed a three-year deal with US retail major Target.
“Sezzle’s product will be used in-store and across Target’s digital platforms, providing guests access to interest-free payment plans for purchases made at Target,” the company said.
