ASX Small Cap Lunch Wrap: Who’s found a ‘worse than 2020’ outlook for 2021?

Welcome back – it’s the final sprint to 2021.
And it’s not been a sluggish start for the ASX 200, which has risen 35 pips on the back of an overnight US market buoyed by House support to increase $US600 stimulus cheques to $US2000.
Dr Patel’s going to have to revise his $TSLA upside AGAIN.
Good morning everyone. Since $TSLA hit my previous price target I spent last night doing some more analysis. I am proud to say I am very bullish. My revised price target is $1,264. I calculated this by taking the current share price and adding the $600 stimulus check. See below: pic.twitter.com/F7sdyt29vK

Meanwhile, everyone’s still talking about Bitcoin and its near-triple run over the past three months to $US27,081 overnight. (Especially those who run or are invested in these ASX crypto stocks.)
But there’s at least one expert farseer who reckons gold can wrestle back the safe haven mantle in 2021. David Hunter, chief macro strategist at Contrarian Macro Advisors, reckons the yellow metal can hit $US10,000 next year.
And silver? $US300.
That’s gains of 431% and 1,056% respectively. Why, David?
“We’re in the final stage of an equity melt-up,” he told Crux Investor’s Matthew Gordon during a video discussion.
This is proper doomcasting by a 47-year-old veteran. Hunter reckons the S&P 500 will hit 4,500 into early 2021 before a crash comes of “biblical proportions”.
Hunter said PE multiples began to expand from single digits in 1982 “to what’s now over 20”.
“You’re going to see the reverse of that in the next decade,” Business Insider reported him as saying.
And with it comes those 15% interest rates our parents and grandparents were battling back in the ’80s…
The biggest winner today has been Legacy Iron Ore (ASX: LCY).
There’s no obvious reason why. But Reuben Adams had a stab – he reckons with iron ore prices hitting record highs punters are speculating that the ostensibly gold focused explorer will dust off its Mt Bevan project in WA. Maybe.
