ASX Small Cap Lunch Wrap: Who’s dodging bullets today?

A Dodge driver has pulled off a ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ jump over a rising drawbridge in Detroit.

“I looked, I said, ‘No he ain’t,'” drawbridge operator Andre Locke said.

“Over he went, blew out all four of his tires, and then he crashed into the other gate.”

The unnamed Dodge driver will be charged with “malicious destruction of property of more than $US1000”. Worth it.

US share markets fell on overnight stimulus and vaccine uncertainty, Commsec says. Aussie shares started firmer on Friday, but these early gains faded quickly.

The benchmark ASX200 index is currently down 0.21 per cent, or 12.2 points to 5,871 points at about 12pm EST, with most sectors in the red.

A lot of suspicious activity happening this morning, with the ASX handing out at least four speeding tickets for unexplained share price gains.

Sleepy stocks Coppermoly (ASX:COY) and Resource Mining Corporation (ASX:RMI) shot up 356 per cent and 113 per cent before trading was paused.

Brazilian gold play BBX Minerals (ASX:BBX) also went in a trading halt after an unexplained early spike, as well as shell company Riedel Resources (ASX:RIE) – which said it was reviewing “high potential prospective projects” way back in July.

Rising on actual news was Sydney biotech Immutep (ASX:IMM), which says its lead drug candidate appears to have helped shrink the tumours of 16 patients with aggressive cancers – and even made three patients’ cancer lesions disappear entirely.
