Here’s one China-reliant commodity that not only isn’t affected, but is soaring right now.
Wool prices in Australia are up over 30 per cent this month to $11.17 per kilogram, according to Bloomberg.
Indeed, with over 90 per cent of wool going to China right now, it is Sino demand (along with domestic textile shortages) pushing up prices.
China’s buying spree is also more than making up for other wool export markets such as India and Italy being quiet in recent months.

To local markets and the ASX 200 dropped by 0.33 per cent to 6,153 at 12pm while the ASX Small Ords fell by 0.74 per cent to 2,861.
While US stocks finished last night’s trade higher with hopes of a stimulus deal by the end of the week, European markets fell as the second wave of COVID-19 continued to bite.
Earlier this week Ireland became the first European country to return to a nation-wide lockdown.

Another day, another solid ASX entrant. Face mask maker Cleanspace (ASX:CSX) is enjoying a solid first trading day, up 40 per cent.
Today’s biggest winner was one of the most mysterious stocks, in Kazakhstan-focused oil play Jupiter Energy (ASX:JPR). It rose over 80 per cent cent after releasing its quarterly in which is revealed it had sold approximately 39,600 barrels of oil equating to US$693,000.
In resources, the biggest winner was King Island (ASX:KIS). It climbed after completing a $2.5 million capital raising which will help it further advance its tungsten project on King Island.
TNT Mines (ASX:TIN) rose too after acquiring a couple of gold projects in Western Australia. The project is owned by Warriedar Mining – a private explorer headed by former executives from last year’s gold success story Spectrum Metals (ASX:SPX).

Microcap tech stock Techniche (ASX:TCN) unveiled plans to delist from the ASX. It said being publicly listed was not worth the compliance costs for the company and its share price did not reflect the true value of the company.
