Small caps are enjoying a solid performance this morning, with the Small Ordinaries index up 1.2 per cent at lunchtime.

The Small Ords was about keeping pace with the overall market, with the All Ordinaries up 1.16 per cent and the ASX200 rising 1.23 per cent, to 6,744.8.

Gold miners were enjoying solid gains with Saracen Mineral Holdings (ASX:SAR) and Northern Star (ASX:NST) both up around six per cent.

Tyro Payments (ASX:TYR) was among the biggest gainers at noon, up 21 per cent  to $2.81 after rebutting a short-seller’s report.

European Lithium (ASX:EUR) was up 57 per cent to 11c after announcing it would raise $7 million to fund lithium exploration.

Bingo Industries (ASX:BIN) was up 20 per cent to $3.30 after confirming it had received an unsolicited non-binding takeover offer at $3.50 a share from CPE Capital.
