Allegra Orthopaedics (ASX:AMT) which has a spinal cages among other products climbed after an update on its successful dynamic compressive test conducted on it.

The company told shareholders it had passed 5 million cycles without any signs of fracture or failure.

Resources junior Latitude Consolidated (ASX:LCD) announced it had bought the Andy Well and Gnaweeda gold projects from Silver Lake Resources (ASX:SLR) for $8 million.

Mineral sands play Astro Resources (ASX:ARO) also rose with news of positive results from the first stage of bulk test work at its Governor Broome project.
