Venture Minerals (ASX:VMS) fell after telling shareholders it was suspending operations at its Ridley Iron Ore mine to identify cost efficiency measures in response to declining market conditions.

This was despite the company’s first shipment of iron ore – which consisted of 45,632 tonnes of iron ore with an average grade 0f 57.3% Fe.
