The biggest rising listed entity was a listed fund – the Contrarian Value Fund (ASX:CVF) which is conducting a capital return.

Gold explorer Frontier Resources (ASX:FNT) climbed off the back of its latest exploration update from its Kimono Project – which included an intercept of 101g/t of gold.

Tech stock Nanollose (ASX:NC6) rose after announcing it was applying for a new patent.

And Environmental Clean Technologies (ASX:ECT) rose after releasing its quarterly.
