It’s been a tough few months for Botanix Pharmaceuticals (ASX:BOT) shareholders with two failed clinical trials.
But it surged this morning after announcing one of its other drug candidates, cannabinoid-based antibacterial microbe BTX1801 was given a special status by the FDA. Namely Qualified Infectious Disease Product (QIDP) for the prevention of post-surgical infections.

One early laggard was uranium play Peninsula Energy (ASX:PEN). Overnight US Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette released a plan to revive US uranium miners.
The stock has fallen despite Peninsula boss Wayne Heili saying the policy recommendations would be a good outcome for his company.
