IPO Watch: Status quo holds, two new stocks join and four walk away

IPO Watch
There has been little change to the leaders and laggards amongst companies to debut on the ASX this year, as two new tech companies join the quotation.
Last time we checked wireless internet provider Uniti Wireless (ASX:UWL) had dethroned buy-now-pay-later stock Splitit (ASX:SPT) as the best-performing IPO of the year, and the company extended its lead: it has risen 462 per cent since listing.
The five best-performing companies remain the same, in fact. Pot stock Ecofibre (ASX:EOF) sits second, up 174 per cent, followed by bacteria-killing biotech Next Science (ASX:NXS) (up 162 per cent), fund manager VGI Partners (ASX:VGI) (up 140 per cent) and then Splitit, up 100 per cent.
There are two new tech companies on the list: FINEOS (ASX:FCL), provider of core software systems to the global life, accident and health insurance industry, and AppsVillage (ASX:APV), which made its debut yesterday.

There is also one new company joining the hopefuls list, and that’s Mader Group (ASX:MAD), a contracting company specialising in mobile and fixed plant equipment maintenance and support. It deploys over 1,100 employees throughout the major mining regions of Australia, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
According to the ASX’s website, it isn’t due to list until 2049, but rest assured, that is a typo.
The company is selling 50 million shares at a dollar a pop, eyeing a market cap of $200m for an expected debut on September 26. The offer closes September 12.
Several companies have pulled their IPOs recently, including dairy formula and sports nutrition supplier Australian Nutrition & Sports, regenerative medicine company Koligo Therapeutics, “omni-channel adaptive routes-to-market solutions partner” Altostratos and retail tech business irexchange.
