Stockhead’s resident Health and Biotech expert Tim Boreham is putting down the stethoscope and picking up the microphone for another instalment of The Health Kick Podcast.

In this episode Tim interviews Steven Lydeamore, CEO of Anatara Lifesciences (ASX:ANR).

The Brisbane-based Anatara is a human and animal health company focused on its core product Detach, based on the pineapple-derived compound called bromelain.

The company has developed Detach as an antibiotic alternative for treating scour (diarrhea) in livestock such as pigs. But it is also conducting clinical trials to develop the compound as a treatment for inflammatory gastrointestinal diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome and Crohn’s disease.

Tune in to hear the pair discuss standing out in the gut health market, solving scours in livestock and the future of antibiotics in the food chain.
