Special Report: Health tech company InteliCare has entered into a binding agreement with large Victorian aged care provider Mecwacare to trial its AI-driven care platform across the 60-bed Trescowthick Centre in Prahran.

The agreement marks a significant milestone for InteliCare (ASX:ICR), with a total of $212,000 in hardware and implementation fees associated with the project.

Installation will begin immediately, with the trial to run for three months once the system is fully commissioned.

Following the trial, Mecwacare will assess the platform’s performance before making a decision on potential broader deployment across its network of residential aged care facilities.

Mecwacare is one of Victoria’s largest aged and disability care providers, supporting more than 18,600 clients across 22 aged care facilities, six retirement villages, three affordable housing sites and four community and disability service centres.

The deployment is part of Mecwacare’s broader digital transformation strategy, which aims to position it as Victoria’s leading technology-enabled care provider.

The trial will allow Mecwacare to assess how InteliCare’s platform – which features real-time data monitoring, predictive analytics, fall detection, and behavioural insights – can enhance resident care, improve staff support, and drive operational efficiency.

Improving the ‘circle of care’

InteliCare CEO Daniel Pilbrow said the agreement with Mecwacare reflects a strong alignment between the two organisations’ goals around innovation and resident wellbeing.

“We are delighted to be supporting Mecwacare on its digital transformation and innovation journey,” he said.

Pilbrow added that the real-time data and predictive analytics delivered by the InteliCare platform could help tailor care to each individual resident, supporting better outcomes across the facility.

Mecwacare’s General Manager of Information Technology Transformation, Kendall Killbride, said the organisation was excited to partner with InteliCare.

“Mecwacare is excited to work with InteliCare to enhance our resident services and improve on our circle of care,” he said.

“We look forward to the trial and results to support our strategic direction.”

The agreement forms part of InteliCare’s broader commercialisation strategy as it expands its footprint in the aged care, disability and health sectors, helping providers deliver safer, smarter and more personalised care.
