Want to know when shares are coming out of escrow? We’ve been keeping tabs, so you don’t have to.
Every two weeks, Stockhead takes a look at the small cap companies that are releasing shares that have been locked away in escrow.
Escrow refers to shares that are held by early investors or directors restrained from selling for a year or two.
The release of escrowed shares can have a big impact on stock price, because a sudden influx of stock onto the market can depress the shares you own.
Over the coming fortnight, more than 776 million shares are hitting the ASX.
Edtech Schrole Group (ASX:SCL) has the most coming out of escrow, with 233 million on October 12, alongside a raft of performance shares and unlisted options.
Smart city tech business Sensen Networks (ASX:SNS) has 227 million being released on October 18, representing more than half of the company’s issued total.
Two other companies, Nanollose (ASX:NC6) and State Gas (ASX:GAS), have more than half their shares coming out of escrow; the former is releasing 53 per cent, the latter 54pc.
