Stock analysis veteran and lover of the oil and gas game, Peter Strachan, is back in town for another instalment of The Wildcatter Podcast.
In this latest episode, Peter interviews Fitzroy River (ASX:FZR) non-executive director Sue Thomas.
The royalty and investment company has recently taken full ownership of Royalco Resources (ASX:RCO) giving it full ownership of RCO’s 1 per cent interest in the valuable Weeks royalty income stream over the prolific Gippsland Basin JV permits, along with several additional ‘hard rock’ royalty interests over projects with precious metals and base metal development potential.
Fitzroy enjoys an income stream from Canning Basin petroleum production, which combined with RCO’s income should ensure a revenue stream of over $1m per annum.
The company retains exposure to oil and gas production through exploration success as well as commodity prices, and also owns shares in Byron Energy (ASX:BYE) with a current market value of about $5.1m.
