The Unicorns Podcast connects you to some of the best and brightest founders, CEOs, executives, business owners, innovators, entrepreneurs and inspiring leaders who make things happen and inspire others.
Host Justin Kelly – former broadcast journalist and PR veteran – chats with leaders from across Australia and internationally on business strategy, what it takes to build a successful company, how to overcome challenges and advice for those on a similar journey.
In this episode, Justin interviews Brad Lingo, Chairman of Pilot Energy (ASX:PGY).
As momentum towards net zero continues across the world, ASX junior Pilot Energy has established itself at the forefront of Australia’s carbon capture and clean energy sector.
Pilot’s Mid West Clean Energy Project will tackle the emissions reduction challenge through large-scale carbon capture and storage in a depleted oil field about 120km off WA’s coast. The project will also cater to the growing demand for clean energy carriers like ammonia from key Australian trading partners including South Korea and Japan.
The project has been building strong momentum in past months thanks Commonwealth support in Australia and the backing of a consortium of major Korean industrial companies, known as the K-Consortium, as South Korea plans to generate most of its electricity from carbon-free energy sources by 2038.
In this episode Mr Lingo talks about how the Mid West Clean Energy Project works, and how it’s leading the way in carbon capture and storage and clean energy in Australia.
