Stock analysis veteran and lover of the oil and gas game, Peter Strachan, is putting aside the Bloomberg terminal and picking up the microphone for another instalment of The Wildcatter Podcast.

In this latest episode, Peter interviews Ansila Energy (ASX:ANA) technical director, Chris Lewis.

Following the acquisition of a farm-in project in Poland, ASX listee Pura Vida made the decision to change its name to Ansila Energy.

The company has since raised funds to support a budget of just over $6 million that will earn the company a 35 per cent interest in two Polish project areas.

At its Gora permit, the company’s work involves testing the unconventional gas potential of a pre-existing discovery by fracking sandstone units from an existing well and flow testing the tight gas.

Ansila’s Nowa project involves testing the oil potential of a discovery in a dolomite formation, where a 2C Resource of 36 million barrels is estimated.

Once the programmes are complete, Ansila will have a 35 per cent working interest in a number of conventional and unconventional petroleum prospect identified in the region.

So tune in to hear Peter and Chris discuss the Polish gas game, Europe’s desire for energy independence and the ups and downs of natural fractures.
